Location: Chico, CA
Description
Chico’s small-town charm has escaped the once-quiet Northern California valley in which it resides as its population has doubled over the last 20 years. Helping its 100,000+ residents transition from septic to sewer quickly transitioned from a dream to a necessity. Working against a very small time frame, city officials knew they could trust APS to deliver on time. APS crews worked tirelessly over just 21 days to hydro excavate over 100 potholes spread throughout the city. This critical work helped the city avoid costly outages as the sewer project moved forward. Despite inaccurate utility markings and some unforgiving terrain and heat, APS’s experienced teams delivered the project on time and within budget by utilizing cutting-edge technology that protected both residents and the environment.
